India 2009

The 2009 Sterling Group lecture tour to India took place from Thursday 2 April to Wednesday 8 April inclusive.  There were eleven tour party members.

The tour concentrated on Delhi and Chennai with detailed arrangements, as usual, being handled by the British Council.  A wide range of universities and colleges were visited which was a useful introduction to the diversity of the Indian educational system for members of the tour party members unfamiliar with India.  Wide ranging discussions were held in the institutions visited supplemented by technical presentations given by tour party members.

Evening receptions were held in both Delhi and Chennai and press interviews were given.
